There is something undeniably wonderful about the golden hour - the way the light softens, the world turns to gold, and everything feels a little more romantic. For this engagement session, we headed to the bluffs up in the wonderful state of Iowa and let me just say… they did not disappoint. We could have been wandering anywhere in the world with the goat on the hillside (legit they were there) to the small well traveled path that the love birds wondered along as I followed along.

WOW.

Seeing as the evening couldn’t have been more beautiful with the greasy hillside swaying gently in the summer breeze, full the wildflowers painted the landscape with a lovely lavender glow. As the sun began to sink lower in the sky, the light wrapped the couple in a warm embrace, creating the signature golden glow that I dream of. I can’t say enough how much I love these images. The details, the glow and most importably the LOVE was all so fun to capture.
